Leader: Outgrowth of Revolution leading to enemy’s defeat

Outgrowth of the 1979 Islamic Revolution will bring defeat to the enemy assault on spirituality in the same way they were defeated in the hard warfare, Iran’s Supreme Leader said.

Outgrowth of the Islamic Revolution is seen across the country, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said at the November 5 meeting with officials in charge of holding the congress of martyrs of northeastern Iranian province of South Khorasan. A copy of his address was released by the website of the Leader's Office.

The Leader’s remarks were read out at the congress held in South Khorasan Provincial Capital of Birjand on Tuesday (December 11).

Ayatollah Khamenei said, there is a serious attack on the spiritual issues by the enemies.

Yet such attacks will also go nowhere, he stressed.

Referring to the martyrs of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in 1980-88, the Leader said that the Sacred Defense tends to have no limits and it is a progressing reality.

Sacred Defense in Iran marks invasion of the Iraqi Ba'ath regime on Iran in 1980 when an eight-year imposed war began against Iran by the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein who was later executed by hanging on 30 December 2006.
