Iran is the pivot of power and stability in the region, Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said, adding that despite some regional countries' atrocity, Iran has always helped those who needed assistance.

Jahangiri made the remarks Monday night addressing a meeting with Hormuzgan economic activists held in the administrative council of the province.

Referring to some regional countries' help to Saddam Hussein, Former President of Iraq for attacking Iran, he said but Iran helped Kuwait when Iraq attacked them.

Iran also helped Arab countries to confront the terrorist group Daesh.

History shows that Iran is a powerful country in the region, he said, adding that it will be to the benefit of Arab countries to be friend with Iran.

The presence of the US and foreign countries is not necessary in the region, he added.

Jahangiri urged Arab countries to learn from the fate of Former President of Egypt Hosni Mubarak and the Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Jahangiri referred to the US unilateral withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying that neither human rights nor the civilization rights are not important for US.
