5th Session of High Council of Iran-Turkey Strategic Relations starts

The 5th Session of the High Council of Iran-Turkey Strategic Relations started in Ankara on Thursday at the presence of Iranian and Turkish presidents.

A number of Iranian and Turkish ministers were among other participants.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, Energy Minister Reza Ardekanian and a number of other senior officials represent Iran in the meeting.

President Rouhani arrived in the Turkish capital on Wednesday afternoon to attend the 5th Session of the High Council of Iran-Turkey Strategic Relations.

Before starting the talks, which are underway behind closed doors without the presence of correspondents, President Rouhani was officially welcomed by his Turkish counterpart and the cameramen were just allowed to take photos at the beginning of the talks.

Prior to the 5th Session of the High Council of Iran-Turkey Strategic Relations, President Rouhani and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan started talks in Ankara on Thursday. The two presidents seemed to negotiate economic issues and important regional developments.
