Zarif made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ) Ziad Al-Nakhaleh.
He said that supporting Palestine is one of the fundamental principles of Iran’s foreign policy.
The secretary-general of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement said, for his part, that Palestinian resistance has gained further power against the aggressors compared to previous years.
He said that the marches of return and the defeat of a recent Zionist attack was as a result of Resistance’s enhanced capability which led to early elections in the occupied lands.
The Palestinian people are more resolved than before to continue with their efforts to gain ultimate victory, al-Nakhaleh said.
Iran will always stand by the Palestinian people and support the Palestinian cause, said Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif on Saturday.
