Putin says waiting Tehran’s approval of Leaders’ Summit schedule

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow is waiting to get Tehran approval about the time for holding Putin-Erdogan-Rouhani Summit slated to be hosted by Russia.

He made the remarks in a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kremlin Palace on Wednesday.

“The meeting will be held in near future and we are making arrangements to hold the summit. We have made an agreement with Turkey in this respect but we are yet to reach an agreement with the Iranian side,” he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Putin said that presence of the US forces in Syria is illegal, as Damascus has not sent invitation to them and the UN has not made a decision in this respect.
