Iran, Syria to open jointly run bank in Damascus: CBI chief

CBI Chief Abdolnaser Hemati said on Tuesday that license for establishment of Iran-Syria joint bank is to be issued in the future enabling both sides to promote banking transactions.

Hemati who accompanies vice president during touring Damascus wrote on his instagram that both sides signed today the framework of an agreement to further bolster and broaden economic cooperation between the two countries mainly on banking terms.

Based on the agreement, both countries with exchange financial transactions based on their national monetary system.
