Speaking in a meeting with new Venezuelan ambassador to Tehran Carlos Antonio Alcalá Cordones who submitted his credentials to President Rouhani, the Iranian president said that the Venezuelan nation will emerge victorious in the new plot and will not allow the Americans to intervene in its internal affairs.
“We believe that the Venezuelan people, with unity and solidarity along with the government, will foil this plot as they have done before,' President Rouhani said.
Noting that the Americans are basically opposed to all popular revolutions and the independent countries, the Iranian president said that they want to dictate their dominance over the world by suppressing the revolutions and the independent countries throughout the world.
He censured the US' move to create a government in Venezuela despite the presence of the legal government of the country, and said it is a new form of intervention that the Americans have begun.
The new Venezuelan ambassador, for his part, hailed the support of the Iranian Leader, government and nation for the government and nation of his country at different junctures.
Cordones said that Venezuela counts on friendly countries, including Iran, in the fight with imperialism and countering this plot.
