Iran speaker condemns attack on IRGC forces

Speaker of Iran's Parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani has extended condolences on martyred of a group of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) forces in Takfiri mercenaries' terrorist attack.

In a message, Larijani said the 'bitter and sorrowful' incident once again showed extreme mercilessness and dirty nature of the enemies of Iranian nation.

He said such terrorist operations were concurrent with the anti-Iran Warsaw conference, led by the US government and the Zionist regime, aiming to take revenge on the great presence of Iranian nation in the Bahman 22 (February 11) rallies, held in commemoration of the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

He condoled with the bereaved families of the martyrs and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 wounded in the Khash-Zahedan Road terror attack on Wednesday.

The statement added a bus carrying IRGC border guards who were on their way home after the end of a mission was targeted on Khash-Zahedan Road by a suicide bomber where 27 were killed and 13 wounded.

Based on the latest reports, the bodies of the martyrs will be transferred to Isfahan and funeral sessions for them will be held on Saturday. The bodies will then be transferred for burial in their hometown.
