Senior official condemns terrorist attack on IRGC

Head of Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi has condemned terrorist attack on a bus carrying a group of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel on Khash-Zahedan road in Sistan-Baluchestan Province on Wednesday.

Vaezi wrote in his instagram account that the cowardly crime of terrorists once again unveiled deep hostility and animosity of those affiliated to the hegemonic powers and of their Takfiri agents against the Great Iranian nation.


He condoled the Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the bereaved families of martyrs, the armed forces and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on martyrdom of a number of the IRGC personnel.

He condoled with the bereaved families of the martyrs and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 wounded in the Khash-Zahedan Road terror attack.

The statement added a bus carrying IRGC border guards who were on their way home after the end of a mission was targeted by a suicide bomber where 27 were killed and 13 wounded.

Based on the latest reports, the bodies of the martyrs will be transferred to Isfahan and funeral sessions for them will be held on Saturday. The bodies will then be transferred for burial in their hometown.
