Interior Min. says US not having least belief in human rights

Minister of Interior Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli has condemned terrorist incident in Sistan-Baluchestan Province on Wednesday and said the US has neither the least belief in nor is committed to human rights.

'Coincidence of Zahedan terrorist attack with Warsaw meeting showed that the US statesmen have not the least belief in and are not committed to international and human rights regulations; with the hated Zionist regime as its accomplice, the US causes insecurity and sows discord, intending to establish a new colonialistic order in the region, times worse than that in the past century,' said the minister in a message.

He said martyrdom of the courageous forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), who were in charge of security, tranquility and welfare of people, by merciless mercenaries made the people of Islamic Iran sorrowful and depressed.

The message said the crime was a nervous and cowardly reaction to the strong public turnout in the Bahman 22 (February 11) rallies in commemoration of the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

He said the neighboring countries, which serve as a haven and shelter for the terrorists, are responsible.

He asked the Pakistan government to launch serious efforts and look into presence of such terrorists in Pakistan territory. 'Throughout history, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been firm, proving that will spare no time or energy to defend national interests based on logical rules and international regulations.'
