Supreme Leader calls for serious probe into attack on IRGC

The Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has called on the organs in charge to focus on and seriously follow the Wednesday terrorist attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) forces on Khash-Zahedan road in Sistan-Baluchestan Province .

The Leader said the agents behind the crime are obviously connected with spy organizations of certain countries.

'The hands of the criminal mercenaries were once again stained with bloods of the rightheous and serving youth of the country and a number of human assets, who had devoted themselves to protecting borders and safeguarding security of the people and were martyred in an attack by the dirty natured and merciless terrorists.
The link between the agents behind the crime and the spy agencies of certain regional and extra-regional countries is obvious and the organs in charge in the country should focus on it and seriously follow it.'

The Paramount Leader extended condolences to the bereaved families of the innocent martyrs of the incident and also the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on the event. 

The Supreme Leader wished patience and divine award for the families and divine ascendance for the dear martyrs, while praying God Almighty for speedy recovery of the injured. 

The leader has also ordered the IRGC to investigate any pobable negligence that could have made the terror act possible. 

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 wounded in the Khash-Zahedan Road terror attack.

The statement added a bus carrying IRGC border guards who were on their way home after the end of a mission was targeted by a suicide bomber where 27 were killed and 13 wounded.
