Iranian music, bridge connecting Iran to world: Minister

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said that the Iranian music acts as a bridge connecting the rich Iranian culture to the world which also gives every single Iranian the chance to safeguard the national dignity.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the 34th Fajr Music Festival which started on Feb 13, Abbas Salehi said Iran’s rich history and its vast geographical span have lent a unique characteristic to the country’s music.

Music is “a line of connection” between the country and the world, the minister said.

He pointed out that the Iranian music enjoys deep historical roots, authenticity and variety.

The Minister further described the Iranian music as a vehicle that can carry out kindness and affection to the world.

Music festival is a chance for re-recognition of the Iranian music, the culture minister said.

Fajr Music Festival is the most prominent music event which has been held in Iran annually in the past 34 years with participation of numerous national and international musicians and bands.
