Tehran, Baku make vital decisions on economic issues

Iranian Economy Minister Farhad Dezhpsand said that important decisions have been made by Tehran and Baku in the 13th joint economic commission.

Speaking to IRNA on Friday, Dezhpsand said the meeting brought about good achievements in economic and scientific fields.

He added in addition to signing final MoU, two other important documents were signed as regard bus manufacturing factory and supplying car parts with joint venture. 

Referring to the development procedure in Iran-Azerbaijan economic relations, he said both sides are determined promote economic ties which had 74% growth in 2018.

He went on to say that a joint committee will be established to observe implementation of agreements.

Pointing to his meeting with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Dezhpsand said Aliyev had earlier issued necessary orders for reinforcing relations.

The 13th joint economic commission of Iran and Azerbaijan was held in Baku, Azerbaijan on March 14-15.

During the meeting both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation in investment, trade, financial, banking, customs, border, communication, energy, environment, agriculture, security, health. Scientific, educational, cultural and tourism fields.

The 12th edition of the joint economic commission was held in Tehran last year.
