14 IAEA positive reports sign of Tehran's commitment: Iran nuclear chief

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said that 14 positive reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about Iran's nuclear activities show Tehran's loyalty to its agreements and commitments.

He made the remarks in a ceremony on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of Iran's National Nuclear Technology Day that kicked off with the attendance of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and a number of armed forces commanders in Tehran on Tuesday.

Salehi said, 'Iran has taken serious steps to improve and renovate its atomic energy structure.'

He added that this is despite the fact that the United States, in an unwise move, has violated its commitments and following its fantasies which are rooted in political chaos.

The restoration of the unilateral sanctions of the US and America's recent impudence could never sap Iran's will in following its prime nuclear goals but rather exposes the surprising weakness of the White House in correctly analyzing the political situation after the re-imposition of inhumane and illegal sanctions on the AEOI, for example, inclusion of Iran Nuclear Safety Center and also the company that provides radio medicines, he added.

The head of the AEOI furter stressed the need for paying full attention to enemies' activities that are after provoking Iran into making it react impulsively.

Fortunately, he said, the administration of Iran is headed by a person who is well-aware of the overt and covert dimensions of international policy.

Criticizing some untrue remarks made about the nuclear energy progresses in Iran, he said Iran will continue to move forward with projects to make use of the peaceful nuclear energy with power and proper pace.

The AEOI head added that the majority of the Iranians are the main supporters of the officials in this regard.

Salehi also said that 114 new achievements have been unveiled and six more will be unveiled today, including ones that will be in used in diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

He added that simulatenous with indigenization and institutionalization of the achievements, AEOI is after giving the knowledge spillover to the other national institutes and organizations.

Collaborations between the AEOI and the Minister of Petroleum and Minister of Science and Technology is an exmple of this policy, he noted.
