They're afraid of any possible conflict with Iran, Hatami said, speaking at a strategic meeting with senior officials of the Defense Ministry in Tehran.
They raise questions like a nuclear case, human rights, missile capability and regional presence just for hostility to Iran, the minister added.
The main reason behind the enemies' hostility to Iran is to counter a new model of religious democracy presented by the Father of the 1979 Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, Hatami stressed.
The minister went on to say that the real supporters of terrorism and Daesh (ISIS) cannot plot regional insecurity through deception and dishonesty.
Any plot will be doomed to failure as long as Iran plays an effective role in the region, Hatami noted.
Touching on a statement made by the US officials that they want talks with no preconditions with Iran, the minister said White House statements are deceitful, demagogic and untrue.
Hatami further named the US move to sanction Iran's oil export, banking transactions, individuals and companies in the international arenas as a hostile measure against the Iranian nation and government.
Iran's resistance does not let the enemies create an obstacle to the country's progress, he said.
At the end of his remarks, the defense minister said the only way to resist the enemies is to rely on domestic products and capabilities and to exercise national solidarity.
US President Donald Trump reinstated unilateral sanctions on Tehran on November 5, 2018, and imposed as he said the “highest level” of economic pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In response to the US anti-Iran sanctions, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in late April that oil sanctions will hurt ordinary Iranians and the government would do whatever it could to sell oil to meet the citizens' needs.
