President Rouhani terms US' presence in Syria as illegal, interventionist

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday evening described the US presence in Syria as illegal and interventionist, noting that the United States accuses of Yemeni combatants or people of other countries instead of admitting that its intervention in the region has been problematic.

Rouhani made the remarks prior to attending Iran-Russia-Turkey troika summit, adding that the summit will be the fifth meeting of the three countries on Syria issue due to the importance of the regional security.
