The two ministers met on the sidelines of Doha Forum which is underway in the Qatari capital as a platform for global dialogue on critical challenges facing the world.
Zarif left Tehran for Doha, Qatar, on Saturday to attend Doha Forum 2019.
The Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to deliver speech during the event and hold talks with his counterparts on the sidelines of the forum.
