Lari said that 2,011 new infected cases have been detected since yesterday.
Over the last 24 hours, 81 people died due to the deadly virus, she added.
She added that 151,032 tests have so far been carried out in Iran.
Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Wednesday that some 81 more Iranians died because of coronavirus over the past 24 hours and 140,590 people out of a total of 177,938 infected with the deadly virus have survived and recovered, but, unfortunately, the total number of deaths reached 8,506.
