Hamidi-Moqadam reiterated that: "Considering the general vaccination and reopening of cinemas, the Festival Policy Council has decided to hold some parts of the event in Charso Cinema Campus and the rest will be held online.
He continued: "The policy-making council of the festival has been planning for two executive methods since its inception, and considering the successful experience of holding the 14th edition of the festival in online format, the infrastructure of this matter was fully prepared and ready." "Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of the new strain of the coronavirus the festival some parts of the event will be held online," he added.
"Due to air pollution in Tehran, traffic and observance of natural health protocols, we recommend that those interested in documentary cinema see the festival through platforms," he added.
Presided by Hamidi-Moqadam, the 15th edition of “Cinema Verite” is slated to be held in Tehran from Dec 6-16, 2021.
The Documentary and Experimental Film Centre (DEFC) organizes the annual Iran International Documentary Film Festival.
The festival has several sections including National, International, Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani Award, Martyr Avini Prize, Special Screenings, Portrait, Mirror of a festival, Focus on a country, Panorama, Workshop, and Doc Market.
