Iran’s Taremi nominated for UEFA Europa League Player of the Week

Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi, who played outstandingly in Porto vs Lazio play-off, was put on the list of candidates for the UEFA Europa League Player of the Week.

Mehdi Taremi was one of the pillars who helped his team, Porto, to reach the 1/8 finals.

He was yellow-carded for a foul on him which was considered a simulation by the referee. However, after a look at the pitchside monitor, the referee announced a penalty kick for Porto. Taremi converted the penalty.
