In an interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro on Saturday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi said that a nuclear deal was in the interest of the region and the world.
Asked about a secret nuclear negotiation between Iran and the US in Oman, like what happened in 2013, Al-Busaidi said that he couldn’t confirm such a negotiation having happened in his country.
The statement comes as the talks in Vienna, Austria, between Iran and the so-called P4+1 to revive the 2015 nuclear deal and have the US rejoin it has halted for several months.
