Iran FM offers condolences to his Japanese counterpart over death of Shinzo Abe

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a message addressed to his Japanese counterpart Hayashi Yushimasa condoled with him on assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Amirabdollahian wrote in his message that the inhumane shooting of the former Japanese prime minister was quite saddening, as he was a prominent leader who had played an outstanding role in the developments in East Asia.

He also referred to the initiatives of the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in strengthening Islamic Republic of Iran’s relations with Japan.

The top Iranian diplomat ended his message by condoling with the bereaved family members of that prominent Japanese diplomat, as well as the friendly Japanese nation.
