Foreign Ministry pursues affairs of Iranian victims in Seoul incident

Director General of the Supreme Council for Iranian Affairs abroad Reza Ameri assured the families of those killed in the Seoul incident that they will not hesitate to take any action needed to reduce their suffering and transfer the bodies of the victims to the country as quickly as possible.

Referring to the tragic incident that killed five Iranians in Seoul incident in which a large number of South Korean nationals and foreigners residing in that country died, Ameri expressed deep regret and condolences to the bereaved families of these loved ones and their survivors, adding that serious follow-up of the issue is underway through Iran's embassy in Seoul and South Korean embassy in Tehran from the beginning of the incident.

Pointing to the negotiations with local authorities in South Korea, he said that Iran's embassy pursues all legal and judicial aspects, including the transfer of bodies to the country as quickly as possible.

Referring to the coordination with South Korean Foreign Ministry officials, Ameri assured the families of those killed in the Seoul incident that Iran would not hesitate to take any action to reduce their suffering and restore the victims' bodies as quickly as possible.
