Envoys in Europe Urged to Focus on Iran’s Foreign Policy Targets

The foreign minister of Iran called on the country’s ambassadors in European states to double up efforts for the materialization of the administration’s foreign policy objectives amid international challenges.

Hossein Amirabdollahian held a videoconference with the Iranian ambassadors and consuls in European countries on Monday night.

The foreign minister called on the Iranian diplomatic missions in the foreign countries to push for the materialization of the Iranian administration’s foreign policy strategy, namely the “balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy, and smart interaction”, amid international challenges.

Amirabdollahian noted that addressing the challenges requires “active, strong and effective” activism by the Iranian diplomatic missions for the fulfillment of the Islamic Republic’s interests.

He further described Iranian nationals residing in Europe as the country’s major asset, stressing the need to improve the services provided for the expatriates in Europe.

In comments on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution in February, Amirabdollahian had described a balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy and smart interaction as the framework of the country’s Foreign Ministry in the efforts to safeguard the Islamic Revolution’s values and fulfill the national interests.
