The security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran dismantled six teams affiliated with the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad), Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced on Tuesday.

The teams intended to assassinate a military official and make sabotage attempts in some metropolitan cities across the country, the public relations office of the Ministry of Intelligence reported.

After the statement released about three weeks ago to report the annihilation of four Mossad terrorist and espionage teams, the Iranian security forces identified two more teams and destroyed them, the Ministry noted.

Also, 23 members of the terrorist network were identified in Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, West Azarbaijan, and Golestan provinces, 13 of whom were inside the country and arrested, and their equipment has also been seized, according to the office.

The leader of the terrorist group, alias Siroos, was residing in a European country and directing its agents inside Iran through social media to make sabotage acts.
