The death toll from the Israeli regime’s war in Gaza has risen to 11,240, with women and children making up most of the fatalities, according to the latest announcement by the Government’s Media Office in the besieged territory.

The office made the announcement on Monday afternoon. It said that 4,630 children and 3,130 women are among those killed since the regime began its onslaught on Gaza on October 7.

The office put the total number of the injured at 29,000, saying that 70% of them are children.

It added that 21 firefighters and 51 journalists have lost their lives as well, while 25 hospitals have been forced to stop working due to the regime’s attacks.

The Zionist regime has committed 1,153 massacres in Gaza since the outbreak of the war, destroying 94 public buildings, 253 schools, 71 mosques and 3 churches, the office further said, adding that 41,120 housing units have been destroyed as well.

The announcement called for the opening of the Rafah border crossing with Gaza and transfer of fuel to hospitals in the besieged territory where the Israeli regime has imposed a total blockade and banned entry of basic supplies since the early days of the war.
