Al Mayadeen reports Israeli regime ship targeted in Northern Indian Ocean

Lebanese news television channel, Al Mayadeen, reported that an Israeli cargo ship was targeted in the northern Indian Ocean on Thursday night, just hours before the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and caused a fire on the ship.

The channel did not release further details about how the ship was targeted or who was responsible.

It was recently announced by the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces that all ships owned or operated by Zionist regime's companies or carrying the Israeli flag would be targeted by their military units in support of the Palestinians.

This comes in the wake of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, a surprise attack launched by Hamas against the Zionist regime on October 7. The operation was a retaliation for the regime’s occupation and crimes against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

In response to the operation, Israel waged a bloody war on Gaza, which resulted in the death of at least 14,854 Palestinians, including at least 6,000 children and 4,000 women.
