Hamas military wing ready to resume clashes with Israelis

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, has declared readiness to resume military confrontation if the Israeli regime rejects the extension of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Sama news agency, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades issued a statement, urging all their fighters in Gaza to be prepared for any conflict in the coming hours. The Palestinian fighters should maintain preparedness until an official statement comes out on the extension of a ceasefire.

Earlier, Hamas announced the Israeli regime rejected a prisoner swap deal with Palestinians.

However, Hebrew and Arab sources have reported that an agreement on Thursday truce has been reached. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry also declared the warring sides agreed upon extending the ceasefire another day.

Sama news agency reported that the Zionist regime’s army spokesperson confirmed the extension of the ceasefire in a bid to pave the way for returning Israeli captives.

The regime’s radio also quoted a top official as saying that the ceasefire will be in place in light of progress in negotiations. The official claimed that Hamas will propose a new list for the prisoner swap deal.
