Meeting of FMs of Caspian Sea littoral states kicks off in Moscow

The meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian Sea’s littoral countries kicked off in Moscow on Tuesday.

The 12th meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian Sea’s littoral countries, which is chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, is attended by the foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan.

The meeting will discuss the most important issues related to the Caspian Sea area, such as the security of the Caspian region, expansion of economic relations, sea transportation, trade, energy, environment and related legal issues.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian departed on a working visit to Russia on December 4 to participate in this event.

During the visit, he is scheduled to speak at the meeting and hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
