Barzani arrived in Tehran on Sunday for talks with senior Iranian officials.

He met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday before his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei.

Iran has repeatedly warned Iraq's Kurdistan authorities, as well as the central government in Baghdad, to disarm and relocate militant groups active in the flashpoint region along Iran's northwestern borders.
