Ayatollah Khamenei: Israeli regime will be rooted out from Palestine

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Israeli regime is the only proxy force in the region and will be rooted out from Palestine.

In a sermon delivered after Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Grand Prayer Grounds in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei said Israeli atrocities against the people of Palestine and Lebanon saddened Muslims during the month of Ramadan.

The Leader said Western officials label “the brave nations and the proud youth” of the region as “proxy” forces whereas the Israeli regime is the only proxy force in the region, which works on behalf of colonialist forces to violate the territories and sovereignties of countries.

“The Zionist regime, as a proxy of the colonizers, incites fire, commits genocide, and perpetrates crimes, and if it gets the chance, it violates [the territories of] other countries, just as it is violating Syria’s today,” he said.

Elsewhere in the sermon, the Leader said colonialists use money and the media to whitewash the Israeli regime’s acts of terrorism while they label native forces defending their own rights and land as “terrorists.”

“If others defend their rights or their land, they are labeled ‘terrorists;’ yet, [it is] the wicked Zionist regime [that] overtly commits genocide, murders children, targets the general population, assassinates individuals, and even openly declares that it has carried out these actions,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

He also pointed to the awakening of people across the globe, particularly in Europe and the United States, to the atrocities being committed by Israel, arguing that if they were more aware of the extent of the regime’s crimes, they would raise their voices even higher.

Assassinating figures, Ayatollah Khamenei said, is the Tel Aviv regime’s routine work, which has the support of the United States and other Western governments.

“This depraved, wicked, and murderous band must be rooted out from Palestine — and by God’s grace, it will be,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to threats by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran and said if any such act of evil is carried out, “they will certainly receive a heavy blow in return.”

Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. It marks the conclusion of 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
