Phone Call Between Iranian and Pakistani Foreign Ministers

The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan held a telephone conversation to review the latest developments in bilateral relations and regional issues.

According to KhabarOnline, According to a statement released earlier in Islamabad by the spokesperson’s office of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, spoke by phone with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The statement said the two sides exchanged views on Iran–Pakistan relations and current regional developments, expressing confidence in the continuing upward trend of high-level exchanges between the two neighboring countries.

The Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministers also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the upcoming International Peace and Trust Forum, scheduled to be held later this week in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
