Iran has exported over dlrs 10 billion worth of petrochemicals during the past Iranian calendar year, ended March 20, 2014, it was announced here on Saturday.

Head of Iranˈs Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters Union Hassan Khosrojerdi added that the figure registers a one-percent rise compared to the corresponding period last year.

He referred to Asia, Africa and East Europe as the main export destination of Iranian petrochemicals.

Following Tehran’s interim nuclear deal with the P5+1, Iran has started exporting petrochemical products to West European countries including Italy, Spain and Greece, Khosrojerdi added.
