Russian Foreign Ministry, in a statement issued on Saturday, welcomed extending talks between Iran and group 5+1 until November 24.

 

The statement said that Russiaˈs Deputy Foreign Minister and senior negotiating member Sergey Ryabkov was attending Vienna VI talks.

It reminded that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton were heading negotiating teams in this round of talks.

The statement continued that this round of negotiation between Iran and Group 5+1 had noticeable progress.

Given the fact that for final agreement on key aspects of a text more time was needed, the two sides agreed on extending time for negotiation.

The statement also referred to meetings between Ryabkov with Zarif and his deputies Araqchi and Takht-e-Ravanchi as well as a number of officials from other negotiating countries.
