Director for Ports and Maritime Organization in Bandar Lengeh Mahmoud Saberi said that the exports volume in the port showed 61 percent increase in comparison with the same period of the preceding year.

Saberi pointed to 493,763 tons of non-oil goods export from the port in the first seven months of the year (March 21 to October 22, 2017).

He added that in this period of time totally 739,154 tons of goods have been loaded and unloaded in this port.

From total operation, 738,674 tons were related to non-oil goods and 480 tons related to oil products.

In this period 2182 TEU containers were loaded and unloaded in this port, which shown 258 percent increase in compare with the same period of past year.

Saberi said that non-oil goods transit from this port reached to 98340 tons which shown 128 percent increase.

Bandar Lengeh, as the main port in west of Hormozgan province, is located 240 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, capital of Hormozgan province.
