Deputy minister of economic affairs and finance and president of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance said here on Sunday that Iran supports foreign investment in the Islamic Republic.

Speaking in Iran Economic and Investment Opportunities Forum currently underway at IRIB International Conference Center in Tehran, Mohammad Khazaei said the gathering is an important venue for introducing Iran's investment capacities.

He added the implementation of Iran nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has played a key role in resuming banking transactions between Iran and other countries across the world.

Describing Iran as the safest country across the world, Khazaei said so far several agreements have been signed between Iran and and other countries aimed at providing a credit line of over $10 billion for different purposes.

Organized by World Federation of Free Zones (FEMOZA) and the governorate general of north central Province of Semnan, the four-day gathering inaugurated in Tehran on Nov 25.
