A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted the village of Hojedk near the town of Ravar located in southeastern province of Kerman on Saturday.

According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 2:53 hours local time (23:23 GMT) in an area located at 30.7 degrees latitude and 57.38 degrees longitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers.

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake also jolted the area on Friday morning.

Over 100 aftershocks have so far happened in Hojedk.
