Prior to the meeting with Salehi, the British foreign secretary met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani discussing bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation, expansion of banking and trade relations, as well as the regional and international developments.
During his stay in Tehran, Johnson is also due to meet President Hassan Rouhani.
