The Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) extraordinary meeting of the Palestine Committee will be held with the attendance of speakers of Iran, Mali and Iraq parliaments on Monday in Tehran.

The event will be held due to the recent developments about Palestine following US President Donald Trump's Decemeber 6 announcement to recognize occupied Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of the Israeli regime.

Iranian Majlis speaker and other committee members will discuss the issue which has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from the US allies.

The OIC emergency meeting convened on December 13 in Turkey in which the member states underlined recognition of Palestine State with the Eastern Quds as its capital.

The meeting attended by representatives of 57 Islamic countries was held in response to Trump's anti-Palestine policy.
