Russian president arrived in Iran on Friday afternoon to attend the trilateral meeting with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts.

During his official visit to Iran, Vladimir Putin is scheduled to attend a trilateral meeting with the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the Syria crisis.

The Russian president is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, president Rouhani and President Erdogan on sidelines of the Syria summit, Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Wednesday.

Earlier on Friday afternoon, Turkish president arrived in Iran to attend the trilateral meeting with his Iranian and Russian counterparts.

Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan are expected to discuss fighting terrorism and establishing security in Syria.
