The Islamic Republic of Iran climbed ten positions in the new edition of the FIFA rankings to land in the 41st spot in the world.

According to the latest monthly rankings released on 12 February 2015, the Iranian team collected 700 points, and stood at the first spot among Asian teams.

After encouraging performances in AFC Asian cup in Australia, South Korea climbed fifteen positions in the new edition of the FIFA rankings to land in the 54th spot in the world with 608 points.

Iran and S. Korea are followed by Japan (55th, 605 points) and Australia (63th, 548 points) as the third and fourth teams of Asia.

Germany remain the top-ranked football team in the world with 1,729 points, and Argentina stand behind Joachim Low's men in second spot with 1,534 points, with Colombia occupying the final podium spot after their good performance at the World Cup with 1,456 points.

Belgium (fourth), The Netherlands (fifth), Brazil (sixth), Portugal (seventh), France (eighth), Uruguay (ninth) and Spain (10th) complete the top 10.
