Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi ensured people that the ministry will spare no efforts to reinforce security of the country in cooperation with other apparati, including the police, Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, and the Judiciary.

He told the sidelines of the funeral procession held for Intelligence Ministry martyr Hassan Ashouri who was martyred during the ministry operation against terrorists Southeast of the country.

Ashouri was the first Intelligence Ministry force who was killed in anti-terror operation over past four years. He was killed in the city of Chabahar in Sistan-and-Baluchestan province during an operation which resulted in arrest of 5 terrorists and death of two others.

The terrorist attacks which occurred in recent days in the capital, Tehran and other parts of the country cannot damage sustainable security in the country, the intelligence minister noted.

Intelligence Ministry has foiled more than one hundred terror plots by Takfiri terrorists in recent years. Terrorists have recently attacked Iran’s parliament and Imam Khomeini Mausoleum in which 17 people were martyred.
