Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran and South Africa are able to increase cooperation in all fields especially banking and economic areas.

Zarif made the remarks Sunday in a meeting with South African Minister of State Security David Mahlobo.

He pointed to favorable grounds for cooperation in political, economic and security fields.

He referred to fighting terrorism and extremism as other fields of cooperation between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Mahlobo expressed South Africa's interest in maintaining cooperation with Iran in economic, technology, energy, banking, security and fighting terrorism fields.
