Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Tuesday that what extremists do doesn’t bear slightest sign of religious teachings.

Reacting to the recent terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, Qasemi said, 'Taking such inhumane and violent measures don’t have any sign of religious, especially Islamic, teachings, which contain peace-seeking and blessing.'

Terrorists attacked the Aziz Istanbul restaurant in central Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital, and killed at least 18 people and wounded several others overnight, but security forces shot dead both attackers and freed people trapped inside the building.

Qasemi added, 'Islamic Republic of Iran, as a victim to the ominous phenomenon of terrorism and a country that has been actively and effectively fighting it, expressed its readiness to cooperate and transfer its experiences in the field.'
