Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi has said that the enemy has devised plots to undermine Iranian industrial organizations at this critical juncture, but passive defense can thwart these plots.

 

He made the remarks in an address to the 4th National Seminar on the Basij and Passive Defense, which was held in Tehran.

Although passive defense is complementary to active defense, it is regarded as one of the most peaceful and reasonable defense techniques, he said.

Enemies have devised 8 anti-Iran plots

Commenting on the Islamic awakening sweeping across the region, he said that the enemies of the Islamic Revolution have devised eight elaborate anti-Iran scenarios meant to entangle Iran and allow them to dominate the region.

“Of course, they have succeeded in some cases and have failed in other cases,” he added.

Iran monitoring enemy’s moves to undermine parliamentary election

There will be many security challenges for Iran’s upcoming parliamentary election, and Iran is monitoring all the measures being taken by the enemy to take advantage of this issue, Moslehi stated.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the intelligence minister said that the establishment of the Basij and its achievements, the establishment of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and its affiliated military bodies, the great achievements of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Defense Ministry, the experiences gained during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, and the evolution of the Armed Forces, the IRGC, and the Basij are blessings of the Islamic Republic system in the military sphere.
