The unmanned aerial vehicles of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have successfully bombarded the mock bases of trans-regional forces during a drill in the south of Iran’s Lut Desert.

On the second day of the Great Prophet 7 military drill, IRGC bomber drones hit their designated targets in the Lut Desert.

The initial stage of the missile drill began on Monday in the Iranian province of Semnan.
The domestically-produced missiles include Shahab (Meteor) 1, 2, 3, Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf), Tondar (Lightning), Fateh (Victor) and Zelzal (Quake) as well as Qiam (Uprising).

Deputy Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami said the missile drill was a firm response to those who threaten Iran with the option of military action.

He added that the “main aim of this drill was to demonstrate the Iranian nation’s political resolve to defend [its] vital values and national interests.”

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.
