In July, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei had called on the government to adopt a 'Resistance Economy' to thwart the sanctions against Iran.
Addressing a gathering here in Tehran last evening, Larijani announced that final structure of country's resistance economy is devised and it is on the verge of implementation.
"Resistance economy means the people would shoulder the economic tasks and monopolies for presentation of goods to the clients would be lifted."
He said an indigenous approach towards national economy is needed, and added, "This means taking advantage of the entire existing talents and potentials in the society at the service of the national economy."
In relevant remarks on Friday, Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati cautioned that the US wants to revive its hegemony over Iran through defeating Tehran in area of economy.
"The economic crisis is, in fact, a war waged by the enemy against Iran after its failure in previous confrontations (against Iran)," Ayatollah Jannati said, addressing a large and fervent congregation of worshippers on Tehran University Campus on Friday.
He said that economic problems will not continue and are limited to a short period, and urged the Iranian nation to resist the West's economic pressure.
