Tehran’s Eyvan Gallery has programmed to mount a photo exhibition to raise funds for the quake-stricken victims in the northwestern Iranian province of East Azarbaijan.

Organized by Farhang Film Company, some 43 artworks created by 30 Iranian photographers are slated to be showcased at the one-day exhibition.

Titled My Azarbaijan, the exhibition is to present the submitted works to the festival of the Smell of Gift that was held at the gallery in March in commemorating the Iranian New Year Nowruz celebration.
Twelve villages in Varzaqan have been completely destroyed by the earthquake and about 60 others have been partially destroyed.

Thousands of people were forced to remain outdoors as at least 20 aftershocks rocked the area.

Iran's Health Minister Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi said on Monday that the death toll from the two powerful earthquakes in the Eastern Azarbaijan Province has risen to 306, and 3,037 people were also injured.
