A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Iran is ready for any soft or hard war waged against it by foreign enemies.

Pointing to continued presence of war and threats in human history, Deputy Commander of IRGC Ground Forces Brigadier General Abdollah Araqi said on Tuesday that Iran has been constantly exposed to threats against its government and nation.

Underlining that enemy’s cyber and soft war has already began against Iran, the commander added that the Islamic Republic has equipped itself with new tools as cyber war is more dangerous than physical warfare.

His remarks come as Israel has recently stepped up threats of a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The threats are based on the unsubstantiated claims that the peaceful nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic include a military component.

Iranian authorities have dismissed the repeated Israeli threats, warning that if Tel-Aviv makes the mistake of launching such an attack, it will spell the end of Israeli regime.

A number of senior Iranian military commanders have also emphasized that in case of any attack on Iran, the conflict will certainly expand well beyond the region.
