While writing in Salat, which means ‘pray,’ the alphabets are illustrated as they are praying and worshiping God, Farhang described in a program held on the sidelines of the 19th Press and News Agencies Exhibition in Tehran.
He also noted that writing in this new style can be performed in two simple and complex forms.
“The style is my achievement after 30 years efforts in this field,” Farhang said, stressing that the newly-invented style differs from other popular styles such as Nastaaliq due to its religious theme.
The 19th International Exhibition of the Press and News Agencies that kicked off on October 28 will continue until November 3, 2012.
This year’s exhibition is hosting some 2,380 Persian dailies, magazines and periodicals while about 50 pavilions have been dedicated to the international section, said Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Press and Information Mohammad-Jafar Mohammadzadeh.
